Activities carried out
The field services presented on this site correspond to the activities entered in the company’s commercial register. Some of them — in particular the collection and disposal of special waste and hazardous special waste — are regulated activities, carried out under the applicable authorisations.
No certification, no particular approval and no client reference is displayed on this site. The supporting documents relating to a given service can be requested directly from the company.
The project is undergoing Startup certification with the competent Algerian bodies. The label has not been granted to date; this page will be updated as soon as it is.
Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by Law no. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data. The data controller is Urban Mine DZ, whose details appear at the top of this page.
What this site records
This site keeps information in a database hosted on the same server as the site, in Europe, with Octenium. Two cases only:
1. Enquiries sent through the form
When you fill in the quote request form, your enquiry is both sent by e-mail to contact@urban-mine-dz.com and recorded in the database. That record exists for one simple reason: if the server’s mail system fails, no enquiry is lost.
- Data recorded: name, company, telephone, e-mail address, subject, site location and description of the requirement.
- Purpose: to handle your enquiry and reply to it.
- Legal basis: your own approach — you write to us in order to get an answer.
- Retention: three years from the last exchange, then deletion.
2. Scientific publication downloads
Some publications can only be downloaded after leaving an e-mail address. That address tells us who is interested in our work and, if you separately agree to it, allows us to get back in touch.
- Data recorded: e-mail address and, if you provide them, name, organisation and country; the date of the download and the publication concerned.
- Purpose: to give access to the document, and to gauge interest in our publications.
- Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked.
- Retention: three years from the download, then deletion.
Permission to contact you is separate from access to the document: refusing the first does not block the second. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without having to give a reason.
What this site does not record
- No tracking cookies, no audience measurement, no advertising trackers. The only cookie set is in the administration area, to keep company staff signed in; an ordinary visitor receives none.
- No IP addresses. Only an irreversible technical fingerprint is derived from them, to limit repeated submissions from the same device. The address itself is never written down.
- No resale, no transfer, no advertising use of the data collected.
Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, objection and deletion regarding data concerning you. Write to contact@urban-mine-dz.com: we reply within one month. For a deletion request, please state the e-mail address or telephone number used, so that we can find the record.
Processors
The data is hosted by Octenium and is not passed to any other provider. If, after sending an enquiry, you choose to back it up with a WhatsApp message, that step is entirely at your own initiative: the information transmitted then falls under WhatsApp’s terms of use and privacy policy, over which we have no control.
Trademarks, patents and cited work
Urban Mine is an internationally registered trademark. The logo, the Urban Mine DZ name, the texts and the graphic elements of this site are the property of the company; any reproduction or use without prior authorisation is prohibited.
The research work, patents and publications mentioned on this site — in particular patents FR 9845467 and FR 266062A1, the study carried out for the European Commission under the 5th Framework Programme (1999-2002) and the article Modern Concept in Materials (May 2020) — are those of Dr Farouk Tedjar, founder of the company. The photographs shown in the “Technologies” section document the process and the trials carried out at the Laghouat site.
The scientific publications made available for download remain the property of their authors and, where applicable, their publishers. They are provided for reference. Where the publisher’s rights do not allow the full text to be distributed, only the reference is published, together with a link to the publisher.
Liability
The information published on this site is provided for guidance and sets out the company’s scope of work. It does not constitute a contractual commitment: the scope, conditions and price of a service are defined in the quote and the contractual documents provided to the client.
